Leopard Shoes

Today my sister and I went shopping in town to specifically buy these funky leopard print shoes from Primark. I saw them about a week ago and really regretted not buying them. So, after finding out I had £80 hidden away in some old savings account (result!) I decided that it was ok to spend £5, yes only £5. Actually, this whole outfit cost about £20. The jeans were a tenner off of Ebay and the bodysuit a fiver also from Ebay.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Glasgow these photographs were taken outside the Gallery of Modern Art. I absolutely love the building and the surrounding square. When it gets round to Christmas time again (I know, thinking ahead) I'll definitely do a post with all the Xmas lights here. They're so pretty! Hope you like the outfit and the photos!

Winter Walk

jumper - my dad's, leggings - h&m, boots- h&m

I think i'm finally starting to sort out in my head what I want to do with this blog. Or at least I'm finally working out what content I want it to have. Sorry if it has been a bit all over the place but I've just been experimenting. It's taken me a while to narrow down what it is you guys respond well to and what it is I actually enjoy doing. So hopefully from now on you'll see a much more focused, organised blog. Expect to see some of my illustrations soon too, just as soon as I've worked out how to scan!

At Kelvingrove

top, leggings, socks, boots - H&M
denim jacket, bag - vintage

I've been so ridiculously lucky to get a flat in such a good location. Glasgow isn't the prettiest city but there are some gems amongst the seventies grey buildings. And Kelvingrove is one of them. I've been wanting to do a post here for a while and I thought that it would be a great background to show of some of my new clothes and my lovely booties!

Shop Windows

I went into the centre of Glasgow today to attempt to take some street style shots. However, after been told to go away like 5 times I decided that I probably should give up my battle and began looking at the shop windows. This year the visual merchandisers of shops like Urban Outfitters (above), Fred Perry (below) and Topshop (further below) have totally pulled it out of the bag. Urban outfitters was by far my favourite! I liked the use of comedy to attract people to the shop (reverse psycology does work people!) but they totally backed it up by having these amazing hanging paper sculptures. To be honest I've always loved the shop windows and interior design in Urban Outfitters, so I wasn't surprised by this excellent display. In Glasgow we only have a tiny little Fred Perry shop but their huge advent calendar style window display was definitely attract attention (It wasn't only me taking pictures of it). Topshop didn't go with a full blown Xmas window but they definitely went for the party season look and in one window had lots and lots of sparkles. But, it was the other window that I like the best. Three large photographs of models were placed behind mannequins. In both the photo and the mannequin there was the same item of clothing, just styled in a different way. veryu smart. Christams shopping is one of the most stressful times of year so it's nice just to take a second and look at what the visual merchandisers of each shop have come up with.
